I like your site. It is nice to see someone interested in space, who is not an engineer or rocket scientist. Have you read Paul Spudis' blog, The Once and Future Moon?

I supported NASA as a contractor on the Constellation Program that had the goal of establishing a scientific outpost on the Moon. We were constantly told that young people were not excited about going back to the Moon. But when I had conversations with teenagers and young adults, it was really more complex. Most were excited about an outpost or colony on the Moon. They were not interested in more flags and footsteps.
